DANIEL WHITE His shirt was only half tucked, black trousers belted up, and his dress shoes were nothing if not classy. His tie was sitting loose on his neck and the blazer was resting on the back of his chair.
Daniel looked at the bartender and ordered automatically, "White Russian, if you would be so kind." Daniel was a... Nifty sort of man. He was intellegent, rough in a good sort of way, and quick witted. His blue eyes looked the lady bartender up and down, and she gushed at him, the drink moving all the faster.
He took it as no surprise. Astonishing as it was, the man was a guardian, not a business man attending some confrence in order to gain good publicity. He had just attended a hearing from the Queen. That woman, he thought to himself, is a woman. She handed him his drink and he thanked her, flashing a brilliantly white smile. It was a strong drink, but he liked it that way. He turned in his chair to watch the scene.
He gauged it to be somewhat of a dour crowd. Most of the people were seasoned Guardians, just as himself, but most were of the more... expierienced type. Gray hairs were all about, and only a few of the men here, including himself, were fresh looking, hair color still intact. He did catch the eye of one man, though, whose hair was died a brillian pink, his clothing not only matching, but looking distinctly like it came straight from a pimps closet. It didn't help that two beautiful women flocked to his sides as she strolled away.
The bar was getting fuller and fuller as more people caught the lovely scent of alcohol. The hearing had been udderly long, and was directed at tht e fact that more and more Moroi were turning to the Strigoi scene, most of them willing. A few of the names went off, and unfortunately, most of them were very high ranking Moroi nobles. He shook his head at the very thought of pushing yourself into a limbo. Not quite dead, but neither were you living. He shrugged thought away, ordering another cocktail. The lady had left, and in her place was a largish sort of man, one you wouldn't necessarily wish to get in a fight with.
Daniel overheard a Guardian couple talking next to him, and although eavesdropping wasn't in his forte, they were the closest thing to having a conversation. Besides that, they weren't particularly quiet about it.
"...heard they were doubleing protection on the school," the man said the his wife. They had come into the confrence hall hand in hand, and Daniel had caught site of a wedding ring on both of their hands. The man who was speaking wore a drab gray suit, the woman in a beautiful black coktail dress. She was quite beautiful in her age, actually. He noticed this as she spoke.
"Yes. The Strigoi are becomming very intolerant. They've attacked another family. Ramilde said they had even murdered a pack of hu,an children walking home from a play at school. Not one was over thirteen..." Her nasaly voiced trailed off at that as she shuddered, her husband setting a protective hand on her shoulder.
"You know nothing would happen to our Johnny, Millie," His voice was strong and soothing. Daniel looked away though. More protection? All he could remember from his days was that the school was like a fortress when on lock down. He sighed into his drink, which was still full, the ice cubes having melted a bit. As the bar steadily became more and more crowded, Daniel let the rest of his drink go, dropping it onto the counter and moving out of another gentlman's way.
He bumped shoulders with him, not on purpose, but the man seemed to go off his rocker.
"What the hell man? Couldn't you see me walking here?" He said, yelling at Daniel, who smiled incredulously.
"It's more than just crowded, mate," he paused, looking at the others, who was just staring," I'll be seeing you then." As he turned to walk off, a meaty hand grabbed his shoulder and yanked him back to face the man whom it belonged to.
"No, your going to say sorry." With a little shake of the head and ham sized fist rocketing at him, Daniel ducked and jumped through the throng of people, running along the bar witih man toppling over people to get to him. In a lovely little theatric, he vaulted over a party of older female guardians and stood in front of the large suited man.
"No. I am not going to say sorry." And with that, he walked on his merry way, heading to his hotel, leaving the fuming giant to himself and the rest of the chuckling group.

Doubling the protection on the schools? That was one I have not heard of before. Moroi adults take pride in St. Vladamir's Academy, knowing it is a safe place for all moroi children. Was it really true most wimped out and became strigoi out of fear that they might perish? That only pushed the further toward the edge. Moroi were disappearing and becoming what they feared most. Did they really think we had no chance against the creatures of the night? Did they believe so that we dhampirs were going to abandon them in this time of need? Well, the ones who changed over willing thought that once before becoming the horrible creature.
After that counsel meeting, guardians had began filing out, grumbling over the new idea that Queen Dragomir had talked about. She may be young, but she knew what she was talking about, considering she did go to the school we were about to place under heavy guard. The girl did know the importance we dhampirs have in moroi life. Hell we were the ones giving up our lives to protect them. They come first. the motto that is drilled into our heads since the very second we are born. Although some miss the message and go off becoming a retched blood whore. Those who became one of those things, were the cowards.
I strolled my way into the bar after that crowded room filed out. I sighed, seeing a familiar face among the crowd, smiling as I followed him to the bar, the one place he would head to in order to drown his sorrows out. Alcohol was something I wished he would stay away from. We have therapists for that sort of thing, and they were free. They did their job well, and always tried their best to help someone out. The only question I had was, why? Why does he drink as much as he does? Has something happened in his life where he feels he must drown himself, just to make the pain go away? I only shook my head, following him, my heeled boot hitting the pavement as I walked to the bar, entering in through the doors before taking a seat far enough away from him, wanting it to be a sort of surprise.
I ran a hand through my hair and smiled at the bartender. "White wine." I told her and watched Daniel closely. He looked a bit haggled. I only frowned slightly, nodding a thanks when she handed me my drink. I drank a couple sips from it before setting it down, seeing him start to get up and walk out, watching as a man bumped into him, causing a scene.
"What the hell man? Couldn't you see me walking here?"
The man had a slight slur to his words, from the cause of drinking to much I guessed. I started out heading around the back, only smiling and chuckling lightly when I saw him plan his escape route. I shrugged my leather jacket on and walked out, coming up from behind Daniel, placing my hands over his eyes and smiling slightly, whispering in his hear. "Guess who?" My lips formed the words, whispering into the ear of an old friend, one I knew would always be my best friend.

He could smell her before he actally saw her, that sweet scent of vanilla, a soft spot amongst the storm. He smiled, clasping the hands in his own, feeling her breathslide down his neck, her lips brush his ears.
"Guess who?"
All he could do was smile, reaching from under her arms and twisting from her grip, kissing her cheek lightly, saying, "Been a while," He then hugged her, pulling her with him outside with his arm still over her. His footsteps fell in harmoniously with hers as they took their way down the sidewalk. The clouds were dark and ominous, lightning shards of glass repeatedly striking down the ground some where far, far away. The rain grew steady over them, and he put his blazer back on.
Daniel couldn't remember the last time he had seen her, only that it had been too long. Her heels clicked loudly compared to his well worn in dress shoes. He own slacks were in desperate need of being replaced, and to be quite honest, the man looked very shabby compared to his beautiful companion.
"How long has it been?" He asked carefully leading her around a puddle of water that had accumulated from the easy rain. Shadows surrounded them in the dank area, as they slowly made their way to the hotel. It was not very far, but still a brisk walk would take another ten minutes to their five. He could see some one standing against the wall, but ignored him. How important could they be that he had to turn and look to see who it was?
He spaced out a bit as they walked along, easily finding his way back onto a main road. Lights flashed by them as cars sped too fast of the streets on the road. Some went fifty, the sped limit, other's... well, they weren't obeying the law, now were they? He slipped his arm from over her shoulder to around her waist, looking around. He could see perfectly well that fight he had witnessed as a young, novice guardian. Never had he seen such art, such power, venow striking as fangs grew out and parts ripped from the Villain.
But he was distracted, and he failed.
Turns out the new kid didn't.
"So I guess the new Strigoi Leader is pretty young. Youngest to ever lead such a large convoy. His name is like, Dicky, Demi.... Demi something. I don't know. What have you heard about it?" It was a lot of questions packed into one morsel of an item, but it him. Daniel liked to know things, especially about his friends. Not hearing from someone for so long, especially Nicole, whom he had been best friends with all through school at the House of Night, and ever since there... Nothing.
"We're almost to the Hotel." The Queen ahd gotten all the people who didn't live in her city a place at a local Hotel. It was pretty nice deal.

The feeling of friendship, it was such a nice feeling to have. Always knowing the one person you have the best friendship with, will always be there for you, through thick and thin. If anything had happened to you, you would know who is always going to be there to comfort you. It was someone who would embrace you in hard times, be the first to congratulate you on the good thing, and just plain not care if your the craziest person alive. Daniel was my best friend in the whole world. We have never felt awkward around each other for such the longest time, it's almost like we were family, so close and tied together.
The warmth of his skin always made my body tingle. My scent would give myself away, for he always could smell that before I can around. How he knew in such a storm this this, I would never know the answer. Feeling his hand on top of mine made me chuckled. Removing mine as I stood beside him, giving him a peck on the cheek. My lips pressed against the side of his face, lingering for a moment longer and chuckled a bit. Just the thought of him being here lifted my spirits, but could not help but feel like something was going wrong with him. There had to be something behind his behavior in the bar back there.
"Been a while,"
Seeing him smile just gave me a shock of happiness. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for him. He was just a ball of sunshine whenever we were together, it made hanging out so much easier, and a lot more fun than with other guardians. You see, we have been friends for a long time, longer than we have known both our families actually. We met at the academy in elementary school. Those were some fun times I have to say. Sometimes I even wished I could go back in time and relive those memories, starting at the beginning when we were both shy about each other, only getting to know each other when we got a little push from our little buddies.
I giggled when he twisted my arms, laying one over my shoulders as he kissed my cheek. I felt a small amount of blood rushing to my cheeks. No, I did not like Daniel White like that, he was my best friend! Do not think like that! I only smiled, grabbing his arm, as if I could move closer to him just by doing that one simple movement. The hug was a bonus, and I only hugged back, continuing to walk with him toward the hotels. Listening to our footsteps echo in the darkness of the stormy night. To my surprise, it was not raining at the moment, but dark clouds only threatened to drench our bodies. He looked nice, although the shoes could use some work, but who was I to care? With our jobs, you could never look better when you have blood covering your clothes.
"How long has it been?"
I paused for a bit, continuing to walk. Then thinking hard to when we last met. "I believe it has been a month since we last talked to each other, deciding on what to do with reelections." I smiled, remembering the chaos it had been with the little Dragomir girl had been through so much, just for her spot. It was funny to think that I graduated before her, as a guardian, and she was queen at the age of eighteen. Such a young beautiful queen, her ideas were very interesting and thoughtful, thinking of everyone. I also thought about her having the power of spirit, along with seeing her famous guardian, Rosemarie Hathaway.
Leading me around a puddle, I began to see shadows creep over us, pulling my leather jacket on tighter, knowing it would not last in this rain, my heels clicking against the pavement. My platinum blond hair flowing in the wind, and having to contain it with my hands, pulling it to the side. I bit my lip slightly, looking up into the sky. I looked back down at my wrist, smiling at the bracelet. It was a gift from him on my birthday, and I wear it everyday, and with everything I wear. "I just love this bracelet, remember when you got it for me?" I mused, enjoying the look of it, added with the beautiful feather that was made of bendable metal.
Cars began to speed by us, whipping my hair into my face, I only frowned, annoyed and tied it up in a small ponytail. I felt his hand go around my waist, leaving my shoulders to feel the bite of the cold. I could tell he was spacing out, because he would get this look on his face, and he walked like a robot on auto-pilot. I only laughed, tapping his nose with the tip of my finger. "Watch it, pretty soon you will find yourself walking into the road." I said, raising a brow and looked away, seeing the lights of the hotel getting closer. I sighed, knowing I was going to miss this moment, even if we have another like it, it would not feel the same as tonight.
"So I guess the new Strigoi Leader is pretty young. Youngest to ever lead such a large convoy. His name is like, Dicky, Demi.... Demi something. I don't know. What have you heard about it?"
My frowned deepened as I listened, rolling it over in my head. "I have heard about him from guardians who were lucky enough to escape. They say he was the most terrifying strigoi they have ever met, torturing his victims to no end. they lost a fellow guardian named Anne just recently." I shivered, worried we might be outnumbered by strigoi these days, with everyone changing over. I still could not remember the name. I have heard it before, but would always forget it somehow. I pondered it slipping my hand into his back pocket, seeing the lights just up ahead.
Of coarse it had to come to and end, everything did. I walked into the doors, feeling a light rain just before entering. I shook my head, untying my hair and shaking it out, running my fingers through it before turning to face him smiling. "This place caters, want to eat together tonight? You need something after having that drink at the bar." I chuckled, looking at the front desk person who nodded and handed a menu. I thanked her and took Daniel's hand, leading him up to my hotel room.

Blood and destruction is what our world is filled of and what can we do to ease off and make peace? well we all have a choice, stand and fight or be at mercy to the Strigoi, and I for one refuse to. What would the point of giving ourselves up to them do? that will cause more, but fighting.. death.. it's all too much and it's inexcusable, nothing can change what happens as much as we want to think that there is such thing as fate. But there is such thing called life and the way life goes is how you choose to make it. With love, lust, happiness, sadness, anger.. the list continues on, and all those emotions.. is what creates a person, a Moroi's is their ability and how well they can control it. Dhampir being their strength and agility but their bond to the Moroi they protect, maybe not an actual BOND like very few people have but nonetheless a bond. But a Strioi, all they have is anger, thirst... thirst for blood and destruction and that is what we fight to not become one...
Who am I you ask? Well.. My name is Queen Vasilisa Sabina Rhea Dragomir, ruler of the Moroi world. I for one will never give up on hope and on my people..
My eyes were looking outside the window, watching as the rain poured down on the window and a low sigh passed my lips, the wheels rolling under the car fast but not too fast to get caught by the police. My blonde curled hair sticking to my face slightly before I ran a hand through my hair, releasing it from my face, Biting down on my lip gently as I looked towards the two guardians in the back seat and of course another one in the front, being me you had a lot of Guardians but being with all the killings now the security is getting tighter and barely anyone sees me anymore, except for the guardians really when we all spoke and made decisions.. and well it was one of those meetings that I was heading to now, listening to everyone's opinions on what to do and of course putting my thoughts in as well. Things were getting tough and it was time we took a stand and made correct decisions on how to handle the problems of the Strigoi, though not everyone will be happy.
I leaned my head against the window and closed my eyes, feeling the grogginess I felt after being pushed around all day and so many appointments, being queen isn't all its cracked up to be. You get worned out, how did the queens before me do this? but no.. I will stand my ground, I will wear my name with proud. Raising my head off the window as the wheels slowly came to a stop on the car and the next thing you know my car door was being open, smiling gently to my guardian I nodded a thanks and slowly stepped out, wearing a floor lengthed dress that was a champagne colour with pink and gold sparkles, with my guardians black jacket over me as I thought it wasn't going to very cold until it started raining. My high heels dug into the ground as another guardian held the umbrella over my head and I sighed once more before entering the hotel, casting my eyes over this hotel as there were many to visit and I could see so many guardians and at my entrance some bowed down low. Nodding my head to them as I walked past them and to the reception desk, the receptionist telling me who had checked in and I had to make sure the exact amount of guardians were in this hotel that we had down on paper. To make sure every guardian made it safetly.
Moving away from the receptionist, even though we were in a room full of guardians my personal ones kept close watch on me and stayed very close to me. Though my REAL guardian Rose.. I wondered where she was, without her here made me feel weird and cold on the inside, but I shook off that feeling and went around to some of the guardians giving them my regards. I went over to Daniel and his friend (Dunno who your playing LP xD) "Thank you so much for coming here, it means a lot to me and our community." I bit my lip and smiled warmyl to the two.
